Cerner EMR Pricing vs eClinicalWorks EMR Pricing:
Cerner EMR and eClinicalWorks have similar pricing for their respective products. The difference is that Cerner EMR offers a free version of its product, while eClinicalWorks does not. However, the free version of Cerner’s software is not as robust as the free version of eClinicalWorks’ software.
The free version of eCw’s EHR is called “eClinicalWorks EMR Express” and allows you to create patient records, order prescriptions, and lab tests, and manage appointments. It also has limited charting capabilities. There are no restrictions on the number of patients you can add to your practice with this version of the software. The only caveat is that you cannot use any customizations or integrations with third-party apps like Practice Fusion or Dropbox
The free version of Cerner’s EHR costs $65 per month per user after an initial 90-day trial period during which there are no fees whatsoever. This version allows most features except for those related to revenue cycle management (RCM). You can add users without charge until you reach 50 users.

Cerner EMR vs eClinicalWorks EMR: The Verdict:
Both Cerner EMR and eClinicalWorks are excellent EMR systems that can deliver a great user experience for both doctors and patients. However, there are some key differences between the two.
EClinicalWorks EMR is a fully-integrated platform with an open API that allows you to integrate additional functionality from third-party vendors. This gives you more flexibility in choosing the features you need for your practice. For example, if you want to add additional billing capabilities, eClinicalWorks has an open API that lets you do so easily by connecting with any billing module. The downside of this is that it can be difficult to keep track of all the integrations you have set up, which can lead to confusion when trying to use them.
Cerner is more closed-source than eClinicalWorks EMR and has historically not been very open about its APIs or integrations. However, recent reports suggest that this might be changing soon and Cerner may start making its APIs more accessible in the future (although nothing has been confirmed yet).
